Spar Click and collect

I sold an item and the buyer requested it delivering to a Spar with click and collect. The parcel has arrived, in fact 3 days ago, but eBay have not sent the buyer a barcode to retrieve it and Spar won't let him have it without it. Ebay have said something about an estimated delivery date or some such to the buyer, I don't understand what they're getting at really. It was sent tracked and sign for and it's been delivered and signed for, so it's definitely there. Has anyone had any problems with eBay and Spar click and collect? Is it a know issue? If so how is it rectified?

If eBay have not yet sent the code to the Buyer, then the Buyer needs to contact eBay for the code.

They eventually got it sorted through eBay chat, but it was like pulling teeth apparently. Really bad service and tried to fob him off with the 'estimated' delivery date initially, but perseverance is the key 🙄
