I forgot to add my house number can I edit my address now and still get it today

If the item is already on the way then no you can not change it now.

If it is Royal Mail then you may be lucky if the postman knows your name.

If a courier then you may not receive it and will have to open a not received dispute

Very unfair on the seller if they lose money due to your fault

You are supposed to check when you pay that the addressis correct

No.  Seller has to post to the address provided by Ebay. It is up to you toensure when paying that the delivery address is correct.

Sellers have virtually no protection unless they post to address provided.

If the Seller hasn't posted your Item you could message them and ask if they could add your House Number.
