Some personal information is no longer in my account

Not wanting to be too paranoid, but I wonder why my payment methods are no longer in my account but were last week. By this I mean the Paypal account is no longer listed and it's been the paypal acct for my ebay for years. Last week I listed several items to sell for charity (100% of the sell price), nothing sold so I was to relist them when in red on the relisting form it says that a credit card is needed in order to list for a charity donation.

I look in my acct to find that no card or paypal email link is listed for donations. Do these things like credit card numbers get dumped every now and again for no apparent reason? The card is still valid and I updated that for the monthly automatic payments when the expiry date came and went. I guess I don't get why one week all seems fine, and the next, personal financial information disappears or is required to list something for charity. Makes me wonder if an account has been hacked. I try and keep my eye on it but realize that hackers and the like come and go, do their damage before even the professionals can catch them or prevent them from doing harm.
