Sold items, receiving payments - Micro-deposits?

I've been an ebayer for years just sold some clothes, don't usually sell on here, just mainly buy items.  Had to update my bank account info.  Ebay says still need to update my bank acc info with the micro-deposit amounts they've sent me, but, checked my account yesterday, Saturday and today Sunday, not received anything.  Does this mean they send micro-deposits on working days only.  Is this so they know they have my correct bank account number and sort-code prior to sending me the money?  thanks

Correct on both points,payments only made weekdays and it is to verify your account.

Once verified payments take 2-4 days to be received in your bank account.
