I bought a creed aventus perfume from a seller on eBay and after trying it for a week I realised it was fake and checking back on sellers feedback someone else had also stated that he bought same item and was fake
I paid £100 and I feel cheated don't know if I can get my money back as I opened and tested the perfume ( box thrown away )but when I checked seller was still selling these fake perfumes instead eBay just removed the item listing of what I bought but not the others from his listing
anyway it's a lot of money to buy a fake perfume when seller disguised it as original
what should I do please
It's very simple. You just open a case under eBay's money back guarantee, through the resolution centre: https://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/
To qualify, you must have paid through eBay's checkout, using PayPal or PayPal Credit, a credit card, debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
A case must be opened within 30 days after the actual (or latest estimated) delivery date, or, if the seller's return window is longer, within their return window. The seller is allowed 3 business days in which to respond. After that, the option will appear for you to escalate the case, if necessary, for eBay to step in and help. This option remains available for 21 days from the date the case was opened.
If the seller wishes the item to be returned, eBay will enable them to send you a prepaid return label (for returns within the UK only). Once returned, eBay will process your refund.
The label is the onlycomplication. Royal Mail doesn't accept perfume that has been opened for delivery by post. The label may need t be for a courier who will accept it. It's up to eBay and the seller to sort this out.
If the seller doesn't reply or you're not happy with their response, escalate the case. Follow any instructions and time limits carefully, and don't agree to close the case until you have received your refund.
