Since managed payments took over, my selling has dried up.

Since managed payments took over, my selling has dried up. It's been 5 or 6 weeks now since I sold anything. I have sold as a part-time private seller since 2008, forced over to managed payments that I didn't want, and stuck with it like everyone else. Been thinking of closing my account at eBay now as it just seems like a waste of time. Never wanted this to happen ever as I have always enjoyed selling the odd item on eBay. I get people looking at my items but just not buying, I sell at low prices so can't afford to sell anything less than £5, with fees I will have nothing left. Any advice would be good.      Thanks, Guys

I am totally foxed as to why MP shoudl make any difference to what people buy from you.  I have not changed my buying habits one bit and simply pay as usual through checkout.  What eBay [etc] do with your money thereafter does not worry me.  Unless you put messages on your listings [and I have not looked] such as "I will not post until the money is safely in my bank" I cannot iagine why a buyer would care.

I have sold a few things at competitive prices and they sold straight away.  I posted them off the same day of course.
