It isn't just eBay. I've noticed a large increase in the number of sign-in notices I'm receiving, from different online accounts. I wonder if some new security protocol has been introduced recently? I even had one when I logged in on my usual device - but at 04:00 am, because I couldn't sleep!
If you did actually sign in at the time stated I think you can probably assume that no-one else was trying to hack your account. Maybe the London location has something to do with network locations?
