Hello,
I'm considering upgrading to a Basic eBay shop and I have a few questions after reading the relevant Help pages. Any help would be most appreciated. 🙂
1. Is the monthly auction listing allowance 50 in total or 50 plus my existing 1000 monthly allowance? One older eBay help page mentioned it was in addition but another one didn't mention it at all.
2. Is the 250 Buy It Now listing allowance based on "active at any given time" or "total you can list in a month". For example, if I list 250 Buy It Now listings and then sell an item. Can I list another item (for free) in a given month?
3. Can you add "Best Offers' for free onto the Buy It Now listings? or is there a charge for this?
4. Can I cancel the shop subscription easily and revert to the fees and allowances I currently have?
5. With a Basic shop, can I send out special offers to just the watchers of a listing?
6. Are there any other 'useful' benefits to owning an eBay shop?
Thanks for your time.
in that case, unless you are planning on listing more than 1000 items a month there is no reason for you to subscribe to a shop, it would be a waste of money
as a private seller you get 1000 auction or buy it now listings a month,
if you subscribe to a shop you get an additional 50 7 day auction listings and 250 buy it nows
it costs 50p to add a buy it now to an auction style listing whether you have a shop or not
you can cancel a shop subscription at any time, the fees for a private seller with a shop are the same as they are without a shop, so it makes no difference
you can send offers to watchers with or without a shop
there are no useful benefits for a private seller to subscribe to a shop
before I answer any of those questions I need to know whether you are trading i.e. buying items with the sole intention of selling them
or selling your own unwanted items,
as the answers to your questions are different for business and private sellers.
