hey guys! I ordered a guitar worth about 900-1000 English pounds from Japan. They offered free surface shipping via Japan post. On tracking is says dispatched from outward office of exchange on the 10th of April. Needless to say it hasn't updated ever since. Do you think I've been scammed? Or can shipping be this slow. The seller keeps telling me that it takes a while. The seller has thousands of positive reviews but they're all quite obscure items I'm worried I've been scammed. Thanks for any help 🙂
What was the latest estimated day of delivery on the listing?.
I doubt you are in time you have 30 days from the latest estimated day of delivery on the listing to open a not received dispute in the resolution centre at the bottom of the page.
If you are out of time and paid by paypal then open the dispute there you have 180 days to open a dispute there
It could be that it has been caught up in customs
Did you realise you may be responsible for customs charges when it came into the UK?
What was the latest estimated delivery date in the original listing? I'm very much afraid that you have probably left it too late to use eBay's money back guarantee, which would have assured you of a refund if it didn't arrive. The time limit to open a case is 30 days after the latest estimated deliver date.
The better news is that if you paid by PayPal you an still file a dispute under PayPal's longer, 180 day buyer protection policy, see: https://www.paypal.com/uk/smarthelp/article/what-if-i-didn%27t-receive-my-item-or-it%27s-not-as-adve...
