Selling items in UK!

Just wanted to know why is it a lot of sites claim that the items for sale are in the UK but when you look at the details of the seller it shows up as Hong Kong or China. Why does Ebay allow this?

Even if the seller is in China it is possible for the item to be located in the UK. There are times when the seller is not telling the truth about the item location but there are also many far eastern sellers who have some kind of warehouse or storage facilities here - even if it's only a relative's home somewhere.

If the item is listed as being located in the UK it means that if it needs to be returned you should be supplied with a UK return address. It is certainly within eBay rules for a seller to be located in a different place from the item.
