It could be. They use fake payment emails so always check for payment in your Paypal account. New seller payments are often putn on hold but will still be noted in your account.
In any case I would tell them you prefer to let the auction run its course.
Yes. Ask yourself why he is willing to pay over the odds. It's not because he's being nice to you.
You are a new seller with expensive items and this guy is hoping to take advantage of your inexperience. He will send you a fake paypal email saying you have been paid, and he's hoping you are daft enough to send the item without checking. You'd be surprised how many people fall for this. Tell him to bid along with every one else.
Just a word of advice. You need to upgrade the postage on your items. The cheaper item needs to be signed for, and the dearer item need to be special delivery. This not only requires a signature to prove delivery, but also covers you agains genuine loss or damage in the post.
If sent by an untracked method the buyer only has to say it's not been recieved (whether it's true or not) and ebay will make you refund. You will lose the item and the money. And if the correct postage method is not selected you will not be able to make a claim from royal mail
The sacmmers trawl through the listings looking for listings like yours. New seller - with the wrong postage. You are asking to be scammed if you send them by ordinary second class post.
