I bought an item from a chinese seller but they have messaged me to say there is no way of posting the item to me and offered a refund. I refused the refund, I know I won't get it but I'm not going to make it easy for them if they've messed up with their postal charges that is their fault, not mine. My ebay account says they have posted the item but I have received two messages, the latest today saying they cannot post it. What can I do? Thanks.
The best youcan hope for is a refund
If an item is not received by the last estimated eBay delivery date then the first thing you should do is contact the seller. If things cannot be quickly resolved then open an Item Not Received case here : http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/
This will allow the seller a further 8 days to resolve things
If still not received at the end of the 8 days go back to the case & escalate for eBay to step in
•
• If the seller cannot prove delivery by online tracking you will be refunded
•
• Never close a case based on a promise...once closed you cannot re-open
•
• Ideally do not opt for a replacement, request a refund & then purchase again from the same or a different seller
•
• If over 30 days or you mistakenly closed a case then open the same case in Paypal & escalate within 20 days - DO NOT CLOSE UNTIL RESOLVED
