Seller using false name

I bought 2 'NEW' tyres last year, they perished in a few weeks and about 400 miles.

When examined it was found that the 'new' tyres were in fact 14 years old when sold.

Seller did not want to know basically and I am taking legal action through small claims court.

The seller has had up to 200 listings selling wheels and tyres and breaking cars through a private eBay store, obviously he is a business, but eBay UK refused to give me his name and address as he was a "private seller", how could he be?

I obtained the registered name and address from eBay support in USA, these details are on the court paperwork.

Now the person using this UK account has admitted in witness statement to the court 2 days prior the preliminary court hearing the name on court papers is not actually his, in fact it's his nephews who lives in Macedonia and has never lived in UK.

Judge now wants both of them on the phone for court hearing on 4th June.

Why is eBay still allowing the seller to trade his business using a private account in his nephews name?

I have reported this to eBay as surely it's fraud?

If that seller is in the Uk then you need to report them too Trading Standards

You do that through Citizens Advice.

Perhaps if you get the judgement ebay may remove them then

They often will not remove on one persons report

Not right with an item that could be life threatening
