I recieved a card from Royal Mail today saying they can't deliver item as the sender didn't pay full postage.
I paid £3.20 in P&P costs and I am sure this would have covered the cost for the item if the seller had gone to a Post Office. I'm guessing he stuck a stamp on it and put it in a mail box. Which also probably means he only used minimal packaging, which means it is reasonably likely to have been damaged. Of course that is just supposition.
What is the best way forward? This has never happened before, to me at least 🙂
It is possible the stamp feel off and if the seller has the receipt of postage they can claim it back
Send them the copy of the card and they can pay the money
If they dont pay either RM of send the money to you then you dont collect
The item will as it says be returned to the seller
You open a not received dispute in the resolution centre at the bottom of the page and escalate
after a full 3 days for your money back
The seller has to prove by a tracked method of postage the item was delivered and they will not be able to do that
