Seller sent item to wrong buyer

I bought an item from a seller who has dispatched to another buyers address, and I have their item. I've queried this, and the seller has given me the other buyers address. The seller does not accept returns, and has advised me to send it to the other buyer.

Is this right?

What do I do?

That will be your seller's problem to sort out. In the meantime you want a refund of the money you paid.

Wait until the last estimated delivery date has passed and then open a not received case, escalate it after 3 working days.

If you should subsequently receive your item in the future you can pay your seller again.

Thanks. If I find they have given my address to the other buyer to send the item to me, is that a breach of GDPR, and if so, does it need to be reported?

they shouldn't give your address to the other buyer without asking you first. I believe it would be a data breach.
