I recently purchased a phone from seller on when receiving did not work on UK networks. 4g not supported so defaults to 3g. I paid £165 for the Sansung 7 Edge which is about the right price for this phone.
SO I left negative feed back and started a return.
That same day I received a phone call from the seller stating the phones do work on the network and if I replaced feedback with negative/positive and close the return they would offer me technical assistance to resole the issue which they assured me was user error.
They sounded conviencing and I subsequently gave positive feedback and cancelled the return (I did not know that once you do this you cannot raise another. Perhaps ebay could display that as a warning before closing the return).
I restarted phone and called there technical assistance who told me to do the 3 button restart. I tried that but did not work. So they said return the phone and they would provide a return label.
They asked for my email address via ebay which I gave them. (I did say that ebay normally stops you doing this but they then said after a few days of chasing that they had sent the return label to my email address and to check spam box)
Anyway there is no email from them. I intend to send it back to them at my cost to the postal address I got from the original return label.
But I suspect I will lose my money.
What can I do as I will never buy phones or electronic goods on ebay again as in the past I have had bad experience with ebay sellers and this final issue has prevented me from ever buying new electronic goods from ebay sellers again.
DOn't even know how I go about resolving this with ebay. I did use paypal for the transaction. Perhaps they can help
Any advice appreciated
Brian
eBay give you all the tools you need to deal with this sort of thing - but you have to use them correctly.
Your only option now is to follow Glyn's advice. Read and follow it carefully.
