I have returned a faulty item and cannot now mark the item as despatched as I do not have a tracking number, the item I returned was low value and was retuned via a 2nd class label provided by the seller, it was a large letter and not a parcel. There was no barcode/ tracking number on the label as far as i can see, I did ask for proof of postage, on the label there is a code, it says F-RF in large and then below it has 1 numbers below it arranged like so = 2 numbers - 5 numbers - 5 numbers.
If the seller pretends they never recived the item, what would be the next step. I had never returned anything before and rarely use ebay.
If seller provided a non trackable label, then you don't have to prove delivery to them it is at their risk.
Escalate case to ebay 5 days after returning if no refund.
