Seller puts insufficient postage

I'm waiting for an item that I bid on (and won) I paid the postage asked for by the seller however, the post office has just tried to deliver it whilst I was out and they've left a card saying there's another £1.50 to pay

I know that's not the end of the world but the seller has quiet a few other items still for sale, what are my options? Do I just pay up and ignore it or put a negative feedback on the sellers page?

Neither. You contact the seller and ask him to send you £1.50, they only have to make a part refund,  as it is their error. If not you do not take delivery, and open a Not Received Case to get a full refund..

Once you pay the seller is unlikely to repay you, and the only way to teach a seller to get their postage correct is to open cases, and ultimately leave feedback.

It may be a genuine error, stamps can fall off and a good seller would deal with this, but I am afraid that a lot of sellers never bother to work out postage for themselves and use suggestions made by ebay, which is the last thing that a seller should do.
