I have been looking at item # 324514860413 - it's an auction with a starting bid of £1.11.
Looking at the images attached to the auction, image 4 is all text and states that all bids will be removed and that they will only sell by people willing to contact them at an email address who are also willing to pay £2000.
They also state that they will not rerspond to messages sent through the eBay messaging system.
I've tried report this to eBay, but I cannot find an appropriate categroy.
Pleae advise how to report this.
I would have made it a little easier by attaching the image, using either the insert/edit image 'camera' icon above this message box or the cover photo box to the right using a picture on my computer or saved to IMGUR - but neither of them will allow me to post the image.
It's not fee avoidance - it's a total scam listing - as is anything like this.
It will be for an item worth far more than £2,000 that doesn't actually exist. Anyone paying anything will 100% lose their money and not be protected by ebay or their bank.
It will also be on a hacked account.
You will always see these listings on here - scammers are unfortunately relentless. Because there will always be some idiuot(s) fall for it which makes it worth their while.
it's a complete scam,
there is a report item link on every listing
use it and choose the item is fraudulent option
It seems to have been taken down. If not use the report button along the lines of "listing practices" + "fraud" + suspected fraud
