Seller promises & delays avoiding returns or refunds.

I received two items paid for on the 5th August,  which I bought from a seller who posts from China, that weren't as described (had a logo on it when photos did not show any logo and I had specifically asked the seller before buying and was assured - no logo) then when the items arrived  (with logos) they also had a very sub-standard anodised alloy finish with multiple marks. The seller blamed their supplier but then promised replacements would be sent 11/9/15 nothing arrived the seller wanted me to check at my poost office then promised replacements would be sent (again)17/10/15. I have waited very patiently twice but no replacements have arrived. All I have is promises & delays. I have tried but cannot raise a dispute now as I am told by paypal that it is outside the sellers' return window!

The seller is still selling this product using a photograph which is misleading.

I seems as though I have been deliberately tricked into waiting untiil it's too late to get my money back.

More fool me - I suppose next time I should not allow the seller to run my dispute window time out. and I should bang a dispute in much sooner - sadly this leaves genuine suppliers less chance of solving any problems.

Many chinese sellers are known to delay untill ebays 30 day window has timed out. Fortunately for you though, you have 180 days to open a dispute in paypal. However, you will need to prove by tracking that the misdescribed items have been sent back, and tracked postage to china is expensive.

If you have sent them back tracked, and the seller has recieved them open a case now and add tracking. If you have not already sent them back you should do so now, but depending on the value of the items it may not be worth your while.

As you say, next time get on it sooner but preferably, next time do not buy from china. As you have found out, it's all defective tat, and returning is an expensive hassle.
