Hi,
Seller has issued me a full refund for a t shirt that was a little bit big. When I started the refund the seller agreed to a refund minus postage. I have received my refund today but the seller has asked me to send them £2.85 via PayPal friends and family so they don't lose out on eBay fees. Is this standard procedure for refunds as I've never had to do this before on the couple of occasions I've had to send something back.
Thanks
It is not standard procedure. Buyer pays for return postage and seller refunds in full.
If done properly through a return case the seller would get his selling fees refunded, if he refunded outside a case he still pays the fees. You do not have to pay him anything.
Read the Money Back Guarantee, that tells you how the system works.
