Seller hasn’t redunded

Bought an item described as “New Other” but on receiving it was scratched, batteries corroded with rust and battery acid inside compartment and covered in a thick layer of dust with finger marks all over. I contacted seller to say I want not happy and from the start he was being awkward accusing me of just wanting to return it due to faulty batteries. In the end he provided a return address. I returned it and added the tracking info. This was over 7 days ago and still no refund. I’ve contacted the seller but I’m now being ignored. Royal Mail say the item has been delivered. All it says on the item now is that the seller will provide a refund once it has been received.

I asked eBay to step in but nothing is being done. Just says I’ll get refund when it’s been returned. Which if has???

Why aren’t eBay processing my refund ???
