I paid for a item after making an offer, the seller then apologised and said it wasn't new but would take £5 off, I was annoyed but at no time did I cancel,, she then went on to assume that I had cancelled, refunded me and then disappeared, can a seller get away with this? Its obvious she had a better offer.
If the seller cancelled using what seems here, the excuse ' Buyer Requests to Cancel,' this refunds their seller fee, and eBay give them no defect for their account.
So, if you wish, you can contact eBay Customer Services, tell them this is not the case, and that fee will be imposed, and the buyer gains a damaging defect on their account.
It does not take too many defects to ban a seller from eBay for life.
eBay don't like unhappy buyers.
