Seller asking me to remove neutral feedback

I've been messaged by a seller who let me down, asking me to remove the neutral feedback I left. I had every right to leave negative feedback to be honest but didn't wish to hurt their business so left neutral. Is it right that when a seller has let you down they should expect positive feedback and further, should message you to ask you to remove the honest feedback left? I feel intimidated by this and don't know how to respond.

You have left quite a few neutrals so we don't know which one you mean.  But if it's the most recent one it does sound a bit unfair.

A neutral has exactly the same effect as a negative.  It creates a defect on the seller account and if they only sell a few items a month even one defect can make the percentage too high and can wipe out their account. It's a bit pointless even having the option to leave neutral as ebay counts it as a negative anyway.

If your problem with the item is just a small niggle and nothing major, it's far kinder to leave no feedback at all.

There is nothing to feel intimidated about.  It's your choice.  You can either ask them to send you a feedback revision request and change it, or ignore them.
