Seller asking me to pay bank account directly

The seller of an item I wish to purchase says he's had his PayPal payment option suspended by ebay for selling Vaping products. He wants me to pay by sending him the money directly to his account.
Is it possible to complete a purchase through the eBay listing and pay.hum this way safely so I'm protected?

You will not be protected by the ebay MBG if you pay by bank transfer or any other way except Paypal.

There is no way I would pay for something directly into their account unless it was fairly low value and I wasn't bothered about losing the money.

bank transfer means you have no protection.

A seller cannot sell on eBay UK without PayPal and if they claim theire's is suspended by eBay then they would have been removed by eBay.

find another seller.
