I bid for shoes starting bid was 99p I was fortunate to win at starting price. I paid & about a week later the seller cancelled the order with no explanation. This has happened to me a few times. If the sellers not happy with only getting 99p for their item then why do they not have a fixed price?. Surely they have to honour the transaction?. They usually get back to you saying they noticed a defect then they re- list. Is this allowed?
It is really bad ebaying and you are correct they should start at a price they are willing to accept.
You cant force them to sell and neither can ebay.
All you can do is to leave the appropriate feedback something like seller would not honour sale
Not ideal but the best you can do to warn others and perhaps make them aware that it is not on.
If they cancel for the wrong reasons then they will pay the fees which will not anlything on 99p but they also get a defect which will harm their account
