Second hand laptop goes completely blank

I bought an used laptop on 25 July 20.

It was working with a message that it was not a legitimate copy of Windows.

Contacted the vendor who claimed it was legitimate.

But the illegitimate message kept popping up.

Then, one day in Sep/Oct it went blank and could not be booted at all.  Completely black screen

What are my rights.  I have informed the seller about it

If it was a Private seller, then no rights at all. The Ebay Money back Guarantee is only for 30 days and covers condition on arrival. The Same applies to Paypal conditon on arrival.

Neither gets involved with warranties, it is just between you and the seller.
