Just received an email, almost immediately after listing our car, that wants to buy it. It requires us to give our PayPal account and then a courier will be arrange after the money is paid in. We have had this happen twice now and it’s a scam. The end result will be that they need us to pay the courier company and they will add that cost onto the transfer. Don’t do it, it’s a scam!

Yes the Vehicle Category is full of Scams. Good for you not falling for it. If you receive an interested Buyer they just come and inspect the Car and if happy they pay by Bank Transfer or Cash. If they decide that your Vehicle is not for them just Cancel the Sale from More Actions Drop Down menu to the right of the Sold Vehicle. Select "Buyer Requested Cancellation" your EBay Final Value Fees will then be Credited back to your Seller Account.

I’ve had the same from three people now, selling my MacBook. The message is very similar from each of them too. And all buyers have good eBay feedback which I find bizarre. I just reply to them that they can make an offer on the item and it goes through eBay. Not sure how I can report these people!
