Sales from UK to USA .. PLEASE ADVISE

Hi, I am a UK Private seller (on managed payments) wanting to include the USA in my listings but I am Extremely confused on the situation regarding VAT. Can someone Please give me the Correct information.. Is it the same as selling to the EU- i.e: if a buyer is in the USA and IF an item is £135 (GBP) or less then Ebay charge VAT at point of sale ?.. Also:  what is the situation IF an item sells for More than £135 (GBP) ? Who pays the VAT / TAXES Etc. ? I haven't a clue anymore ! What is the situation Please ?? and also: when posting to the USA HOW do I prove to the Courier/ border control IF a US Buyer HAS paid at Point Of Sale ?? I'm worried sick if a buyer could get charged twice And also IF I, as the Seller, find that 'I' Have to pay the VAT/ taxes etc (and find Ebay have taken it out of My sale price ! PLEASE ADVISE .. I am so so confused . Thank you !

If you don't use GSP, then you send item direct to buyer with relevant customs forms, declaring value etc, the buyers own country tax authority will collect tax/import fees before item is delivered.

As each country's tax is different, no way for seller to know the costs.

If seller refuses to pay import fees, they invalidate ebay MBG.
