Sainsburys click & collect

I didn't pick my item up from Sainsbury's within 7 days and when I went after 9 days they said my item had been returned. However the seller hasn't received it back and I don't have it. I don't know where the item is now. Is there anything I can do?

There is some information here under the terms and conditions. They state that if its not picked up they consider the transaction cancelled.

Here's what we found for "What buyers should know about Click & Collect"

With Click & Collect you can buy certain items on eBay and collect them from an eBay collection point near you, so you don't have to wait for home delivery.  

How it works:

  1. Select an item available for Click & Collect (you’ll see this option when it’s available)
  2. Find a store location near you
  3. Purchase your item
  4. We'll send you a notification (email /SMS) when your parcel is ready to collect. This will include a collection code. Take this to your selected store to pick up your parcel.

If you’ve purchased more than one item, you’ll receive multiple notifications.

Your parcel will be held in store for 7 days once you receive your notification. After this time, it will be automatically returned to the seller. You'll be refunded within 6 business days of the seller receiving the returned item.

Returning a Click & Collect item is the same as returning any other eBay purchase. You can start a return from your Purchase history. The eBay collection points cannot help you with your return.
