Hello,
I puchased an HP ZBOOK WORKSTATION Laptop for Christmas box. It was on Monday
31-11-20 when I decided to charge the laptop and then wrap it for Christmas Day. To my Disbelieve the ZBOOK was absolutely DEAD. I then contacted a Computor Technition who
then gave me the unwelcome news. Not the battery or charger but the motherboard. The cost of the repairs would be higher than the ZBOOK value. Immediately contacted seller
who told me it would cost £30 delivery charge, plus parts and labour. In all I would be faced with a huge repair bill. It is by law that a replacement product or, a full refund to be issued
because the goods are "Not fit for Purpose"
Kindest regards,

This is why it is pointless to contact sellers who give what - at best - is misleading advice and - at worst - an attempt to deprive you of ebay's guarantee.
If you are within 30 days of purchase [and to be pedantic 31 November does not exist] then you simply open a "not as described case" in eBay's resolution centre. If seller is in UK then he sends a label to return and refunds. If he does not you "escalate" after 3 business days.
If you are past 30 days and within 180 days you use Paypal in the same way. Escalate after 2 and before 20 days. You can register with them to pay the return postage.
Do not close the case.
If you are past 180 days then there is nothing to be done
