You are 100% correct everyone should check their invoices as errors can occur.
However, eBay do not use dead accounts, they do not use any accounts, they are just a selling platform.
Unfortuantely , there are bad people, scammers in all walks of life , and eBay being an online selling platform , is certainly not free of them.
As quickly as compromised accounts are removed, ten more take their place, it's an uphill no win battle!
