Returns

Hi,

 

we're having issues with the ebay returns. 

 

the problem is, even though we state on each of our ads, that returns due to buyer error are subject to restocking fees & lesser refunds to cover our postage costs, when they open a returns case, we can only refund them 100%.

 

IMHO, the new returns system is extremely flawed & is only good when it's down to seller error.

 

how, if at all, can we partially refund the buyers for their mistake? We're not trying to scam folk, just cover our own costs for postage, and restocking (only 7%, some places charge 20!), and if they lather the packaging in tape or damage it, we have to pay to repackage it, how are smaller companies supposed to survive if ebay constantly side with the buyers instead of the sellers who pay thousands a month to sell on their site?

 

any help would be appreciated, i would hazard that this has been asked already but i don't have time to go through the message boards,
