Hi everyone,
I purchased an item and was sent something dfifferent than what I ordered. The seller has my money and/or my item. He's told me to open a returns procedure. So I now find that I have now to pay for the privilege of returning an item I didn't order, didnt want and the seller has not replied to me to confirm that he's going to refund me for postage costs.
It appears also that there is no one available from eBay, that I can speak directly to, to clear up this matter.
I am eager for the seller to get the incorrect item back, but he should be paying postage costs and sending the item I ordered first. I'll end up out of pocket twice and still have nothing!!
Never take advice from sellers! You should open a "not as described case" not a "return". NAD the seller sends a label at his cost.
You only get one chance! If you have opened a return you "could" try contacting eBay [help and contact at top of page] and explain you made a mistake and ask them to change to NAD. I don't rate your chances. Or put it down to experience and simply go down the return route where you pay for [tracked] postage but do get a full refund. If you do a "return" there is no way the seller can be made to refund the post.
If necessary escalate the case after 3 full business days
open a not as described case and the seller has to send you a prepaid label for the return.
