Hi, so I sold a pair of Yeezy trainers. Anyway the buyer apparently bought them by accident so asked for a return.
before I had chance to do anything EBay accepted and refunded the buyer before the trainers were sent back. I've been on eBay 17 years and have 860 odd positive feedback so would have had no problem dealing with Thisbe I have done many times.
Anyway eBay has somehow lost my trainers at their new authentication centre. This hasn't stoped them keeping all the money for the next item I sold and are now chasing me mercilessly for the balance of the refund, of course they have not deducted the commission they made on the original sell of the Yeezys. I have been slowly removing all my listings from eBay as I personally think they have recently massively gone down hill.
They also deduct on average 15% from my sells but when I spoke to an advisor he insisted that commission is always less than 10%. I can't get any sense out of them when I call! What can I do? Thanks
Please tell us more about the "EBay new authentication centre" I have never heard of it. I do not know everything of course but cannot find anything simply on help and contact. EBay.com seems to have such a scheme [USA?] but one of the problems for sellers is that eBay never sees the items sold. They use the term "sneakers" which is not in general use in UK I think.
If a buyer opens a case the seller does have to respond to it quickly. If not ebay may simply close the case and refund without return.
eBay inform us that “Browse and shop eBay’s listings with the “Authenticity Guarantee” badge.” And “eBay has partnered with Sneaker Con”
Looking at the listing item 274816720962 I cannot see the 'badge' but see that you have stated on the listing
“I AM AN OFFICIAL EBAY SNEAKER AUTHENTICATOR WHICH MEANS YOUR TRAINERS ARE GUARANTEED TO BE AUTHENTIC”
