Retract a bid with less than 12 hours left

A seller tells me the item I am bidding on is now broken . It's got less than 12 hours to go . I am highest bidder . I've emailed to ask them to cancel my bid . But item is still for sale . Any ideas

Seller cannot end the auction but they can cancel your bid, probably don't know how to. If the auction ends with you as winner, they can then very easily cancel the sale from the menu to right of the item. It will get them a defect but if you ask them to cancel it they will be able to without defect.

When ended, send a message saying in view of the item being broken you wish to cancel.

Someome else may outbid you and save you the trouble.
