Restricted again

i have just been restricted again for selling a Chanel VIP  gift item (no sample of make up in it as last time)...purely plastic keyring.....i put one photo only ...when i phoned up about my restriction the guy said to put many photos to show that it is mine .....and a long description.......do I risk another restriction after the 72 hours?

In 2011 eBay was reportedly ordered by a French court to pay over £30 million in damages for not doing enough to prevent the sale of counterfeit merchandise here. The court also ruled that rights owners were entitled to insist that some branded goods should only be sold by trained staff in approved places.

Fast forward ten years, and eBay's VERO scheme gives registered brand name owners the right to report any item that they consider infringes their right to the brand. EBay has undertaken to remove any reported item from sale.

Keep this in mind when thinking about relisting this item. EBay isn't going to risk another confrontation with the big brand names. None of us knows how many warnings a seller has to receive before being permanently restricted from selling here, but at least one seller told us that it was after they were reported for the third time.

i know all this.....it is not FAKE....i am at the stage where i am about to give up anyway..I have already reported Ebay to trading standards twice ..Ebay has to be consistant....they cannot let 12 people sell the item and one not...

Makes no difference if it is fake or not. What did you report to Trading Standards?It is ebay site and ebay rules. I doubt TS can do anything. If it has been reported by the brand owner or another member it is best not to relist. Ebay rely on members to police the site and report. If there are other items on then they have not been reported. There is a report this listing on every listing page.

Yes every one of the 12 items has been reported ...i reported every one of them and they are all still there...not on another site ...all on ebay.co.uk....been here before....they do not get removed...Chanel not interested.....the same thing happened 2 years ago with ribbons....I removed all my ribbons....except one which Chanel verified for me

They are not always removed straight away. If they are on another ebay site then they may be under different rules. That is all you can do report and wait and see what happens

It would be risky to relist the item

If you have been restricted twice then if you get restricted again ebay could suspend or restrict you again

To be removed your item has been reported by either another member or the brand owner.

Some brand owners do not like their items listed on ebay and if they report ebay will remove them

i have been restricted to 2 different items ...the first time there were 12 people selling exactly the same thing....this time only 2 ....I spoke to Chanel about it and they said it was Ebay...they were not bothered....i know all about the Vero programme but that does not help me...I even included the '6' number which identifies the part. this is what ebay says; 'The sale of counterfeit items is illegal and against eBay policy. Please do not relist this item on our site. Please work with leadership to discuss appeal workflow. ".......what does the last sentence mean?...
