Hi, I posted (tracked and signed for) an item from the UK to the U.S. When the buyer asked for the Tracking details i supplied them. When it became obvious it wasn't going to arrive (or was VERY late) i supplied another Tracking Number , again posted from the Uk to the U.S at exactly the same time and location , just so we could both see how this item (not his) was faring, it showed it had been delivered. So it wasn't looking good for his. All the while we have been in amicable contact (so i thought). I have proof of postage, have supplied all the relevant info to the Buyer who has now asked ebay to step in. His comments are "worded" to make me out to be VERY much the guilty party "the Seller uploaded Tracking details WEEKS after "Supposedley" posting the item". "The seller hasn't been forthcoming about the status in his email" !!! etc etc. This is nothing short of slander. I can't see how/where i can give my side of events. Just get shunted from one useless option after another. Help! Cheers Steve
Your side of events won't enter into it, and nether will your proof of postage. EBay will simply follow its rules, with which do don't appear to have made yourself very familiar.
EBay will simply check the tracking number. That's all they will be interested in. If it confirms delivery to the buyer's address, eBay will support you and you won't have to refund them. If it doesn't, you will.
This assumes that you uploaded the tracking number as required, before the buyer opened a case. Without one, it will automatically be found in the buyer's favour.
