I recently bought an item and it was never posted, the seller then closed their account and email. As i couldn't contact them ebay just closed my case offering me no help whatsoever. I always thoght we could rely on then to sort out this sort of problem, now they don't seem to care.

If you paid using pay pal then open a case with them in your pay pal account reporting item not received,escalating to a claim asap and within 20 days for a refund.

Thanks, I just don't understand why ebay have become so unhelpful.

They haven't , but if they have booted off a seller , they don't do this lightly, the seller broke their selling regulations somehow. Payng with Paypal you have their protection too, and that is where you need to turn to now.

On opening a case with them , enter that eBay have removed the seller from their site, do not be forced to return to eBay, and do not foget to escalate.
