Reply to a seller via email issue

Hi there, I'm not a frequent user so it's possible I've missed something. Here goes. Having sent a message to a seller via the eBay mobile site and received a reply to my enquiry, I can only access my messages via the classic site. Selecting messages on the mobile site takes me to the home page! 

OK, so once I have accessed the message on the classic site, any attempt to reply also takes me to the home page, (recent purchases etc). Any attempt to 'reply' is unsuccessful.  Why do all the reply options take me back to the home page away from the message.

As far as I am aware the Classic site is finished. I am not sure what you mean by "Mobile Site". If you mean the Ebay App. that can be glitchy, a laptop works better.

Ther should be no problem in contacting a seller, all you need to do is click on their ID or number of feedback, That shows their Feedback page and on the top right CONTACT, if reply on messages does not work use the CONTACT link.
