Registered PayPal accounts

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me. eBay customer service today sent me a refund via PayPal. I hadn't received it to the one I have had registered on eBay so questioned this. The advisor told me I had two PayPal accounts on my eBay account. Anyway, they had sent it to a very old one I've not used in 10 years. Thankfully I could reset the password and withdraw the funds, however I'm really confused as I've gone through my entire eBay account and I can see there is only one registered PayPal account (the one I've always used) and no records of the very old PayPal account. Can anyone explain where they've managed to find this very old account and why I can't see it anywhere in eBay.

I need to remove it from eBay if it's hiding there somewhere as previously mentioned it is very old and I don't use that one.

Any help would be appreciated.
