I have just had to send back a refurbished iPhone. Because it did not work properly I had to pay a professional tech guy to try his best to do it. He has charged me £40 for 4 hours of his time. Can I claim this back from the seller ?
If seller pointed out to ebay that you did not return in the same condition it was received in, they might even say he does not have to refund.
You should have opened a case immediately and not wasted money.
No you cannot claim expenses for trying to fix an item received which was not working properly.
You should have opened a case in the Resolution centre and returned it in its “as received” state for a full refund.
Noo you cannot claim for any Consequential Loss through Ebay. Seek Legal Advice.
