Refund

What happens if you’ve issued a refund and it’s gone from your bank and buyer saying not received it as their details have changed ie PayPal etc. Also eBay are still saying a refund is needed as the buyer has started a case! I have PayPal statements saying issued refund and also bank statements. Can’t get onto eBay live chat and don’t fancy ringing etc. Thanks guys.

REfunds go back to scource so if the buyer paid by  paypal then it goes back there

If the buyers paypal details have changed then they need to sort it out

However how did you do the refund?>

Did you refund to a paypal address the buyer gace you?

All refunds should be done through a dispute and you refund through the dispute and the original payment is refunded

If you refunded through a dispute then ebay should say Refunded and a dispute closes immediatley

I refunded through PayPal as there wasn’t a case opened at that time. So now there’s a case open and not willing to refund again as it’s already gone to wherever

You really should not have refunded without going through a dispute.
It has been known for ebay to refund the buyer and ebay come to you for the money.

Have you checked paypal to see if you can cancel the payment.
If it has gone to an incorrect email address then it may just be sitting there
If the email is not a valid one and the buyer can not claim it back then the money should come back to you after one month.

It is difficult but not impossible to contact ebay by going to the top of the page under Help and contact then scroll down for call back or Chat.

You have to be careful as they may just refund the buyer straight away.
