Refund to buyer for incorrect sold item

How do I get a refund to a buyer, I had an item for sell on the site twice incorrectly and a buyer has bought something I don't have to sell.

How do they get a refund?

ACTIONS > Cancel Sale > reason "Buyers Request", and refund is made. (you get selling fee refunded but NOT the fixed 30p).

I hope the buyer is in agreement as this is a good way to get negative feedback.

I am a novice and have cancelled the order. Does this mean the money will automatically get refunded to the buyer? I tried doing a refund and suggested eBay was going to charge me for the action
