Refund requested after buyer has left positive feedback.

I have very recently sold an expensive pair of 18ct gold, diamond and ruby earrings. These were very well described, weight and measurements given and well  photographed. I offered a refund if the buyer wasn't delighted... He seemingly was very pleased with them on receipt as I received excellent feedback and a very pleasant email to thank me. Now a few days later, he has contacted me to say that he thinks the earrings (which are to be a present for his wife) are likely to be too big for her ear lobes and he wants me to refund his payment. Am I in my rights to refuse in these circumstances?

Many thanks for your help
