Hi all, i sold an item back on 11th September last year, (a large PC case, only sold for £20) as collection only, the item was paid for and i messaged the person to arrange collection. For various reasons (includng COVID) the person has continuosly said he is not able to collect, or as promised to arrange collection and then just not come back to me. I have messaged many times asking for a collection date and stated that if he does not want the case i will just refund him, i just get excuses back but states he still wants the case, the last contact was last week when i stated that i need it collected and gone by this Friday or i will refund the payment and sell it to somebody else (after the amount of time this has been i feel that this is reasonable). The problem i have is that the item is no longer in my sold items list and i can't find a way to find it to be able to refund the person. Anybody know where i can find it so i can just end this ridiculous fiasco? Thanks.
If they paid by paypal you have 180 days to refund THROUGH paypal, but youwill not get Paypal or Ebay fee refunded so you will be at least 12.9% + 30p out of pocket.
You might nowbe too late for even te 180 days, but can stilloriginate a family an friends payment, you just need email address, name or mobile number.
Sold items only stay on ebay for at most 90 days, so allowing this "sale" to be dragged out this long just makes problems. I feel that when refunding you should be entitled to deduct your fees etc. from the refund, as why should you be several £s out of pocket. It is too late for buyer to complain or leave feedback.
I also suggest you add to your Blocked bidders List as you do not want a repeat performance.
