Refund for missing items

Hi,

 

I sent 12 parcels on the 15th April and only half have been received so far. One buyer has requested a refund, even though Royal Mail don’t class a parcel as missing until after 10 working days so it could still arrive. I am happy to refund, but what happens if they then receive the item after they have been refunded? And what if they don’t want the item when they receive it and have to send it back?

Grateful for any advice before I go through the process of a refund. Thankyou
