Refund after 30 days

I have just had a buyer message me, not stating they want a refund but eluding to such.

They bought a boxset of DVDs on the 6th Nov, come to watch one and it's scratched. I am confident that these were checked before they were sent and had no problems. this is obviously longer than 30 days ago and there's no way to prove that the scratch was infact my fault, or if it was the buyers.

This buyer hasn't yet left feedback. The buyer hasn't actually said what they want to reslove the matter, but thought I'd ask for opinions before replying.

I don't feel obliged to refund and I also don't feel convinced that I am at fault for the damage. However, I am cautious that malicious feedback will be left.

It's too late for an eBay case and even if it was in time then they would have to send the whole lot back to you for a refund.  they could still open a case in PayPal but would need to return all of them and i'm not too happy about that due to the nature of the items they could have watched them all and now trying to return (not wishing to cast aspersions but you get a bit jaded!).

You can send them a small courtesy refund if you wish, send it as a gift payment to their paypal email address as you will have that on the original paypal transaction.

They are too late to leave you feedback.
