Hi I got scammed of £409.00 from a eBay buyer the person sent PayPal documents saying payment been sent so I went on to my PayPal account and no money so I ring up PayPal and they did not send any emails saying payment been sent it end up me being scammed all the documents where all fake from this person. SO please be carefully when you sale sumthing and plz check over the documents to make sure they not fake. BE CAREFUL
How did they get your address to send fake PayPal Emails to?
The golden rule is to always log into your PayPal account and make sure that there's a payment there and that it's completed before you send an item out.
The spoof emails are very realistic looking, that's the whole point. They're designed to fool you into thinking that they're real.
But, that aside, even if you received a genuine payment you'd still need to log into PayPal first to make sure that it was a completed payment and showing as okay to send, if a bank funded payment it may not have cleared. That's why you must never send anything out without first checking that you've been paid.
