Hi,
I recently purchased a pair of fabric scissors from an ebayer with several different listings for fabric scissors, all being different. I received my item 4 days later so all seemed good. However when opening the parcel I have been sent another pair of scissors, which they have in a separate listing that are cheaper. These scissors are smaller.
I have sent the ebayer a message asking if I can exchange them for the correct scissors, including photos of the ones I have received with a tape measure so they can see they it is not the right item.
I have waited 3 days for a response and so far nothing, so I am just wondering what the best thing to do is?
Looking at their feedback, it’s really good apart from the odd negative reviews saying that their items were as described and when they contacted the seller they heard nothing. I really want the original scissors, which I know they have sold in the past as my boss bought them for our work and they are brilliant so I used the same listing, she had no problems with the seller but this was about a year and a half ago. I had also previously asked for these scissors for Christmas off my parents so my dad has previously bought from this seller before on his account, however the scissors didn’t turn up and he got refunded.
So should I reach out to the seller again asking? Give it a bit more time for them to respond? Or should I open a case and get my money back and buy the scissors again hoping they sent the right item? The negative feedback of them not responding is making me think they won’t respond to me in this case, as most ebayers usually reply to any questions I send after a day or 2.
Thanks in advance for your time reading this 🙂
Do not get replacement.
Open case for not as described, seller provides returns label, you post back for full refund.
Escalate to ebay after 3 working days if no label or refund.
You can then order again.
